In what could be any ordinary town lives an extraordinary individual who has proudly kept an open mind to the unusual and sometimes incredibly bizarre aspects of life that most would refuse to believe. This man is Kenny Stewart of New Albany, Indiana.

For years Kenny has believed that he possesses the secret trick to escaping from a straitjacket. He has never had any training or instruction on how to do so, only a mysterious “feeling” that he is somehow connected to the great magician Harry Houdini. He feels the connection is so strong that he may even be Houdini's reincarnation!

Kenny's connection to Houdini isn't his only unique quality. He claims that ghosts prowl his home. He is wary of anything metal – believing it to be the cause of strange car accidents and his inability to wear a wristwatch without it stopping. Where most people would seek a rational explanation, Kenny dares to entertain the possibilities of the unknown. Despite being a very religious man, he is not afraid to keep an open mind, regardless if it sometimes contradicts his faith. In his own words, Kenny is unusual: it's the normal people that to him are the “real weirdos.”

As Kenny recounts his more unusual stories, he also admits his regrets. Living life as if he were in a straitjacket, Kenny has confined himself to his small hometown, which has prevented him from pursuing his dream of working in show business. Movies have always been a big part of Kenny's life, providing him with the magic of entering another world through the eyes of a story's characters. His passion for show business can be proudly seen all over his museum-like home filled with dolls of Shirley Temple, figures from the Wizard of Oz, and memorabilia from an assortment of monster movies.

As Kenny aged, so did New Albany: its once great picture palaces faded from the town one by one. As family members passed away and his passions got further away from him, the town he’d grown up in became a metaphorical straitjacket.

In his old age, Kenny is now confined to the straitjacket that is New Albany. Having once met or been in touch with many stars of old, including Elvis Presley and Judy Garland, Kenny is more determined than ever to keep his innocence and dreams alive. For the first time, on camera, he decides to finally back up his claim and prove that he has what it takes to escape a straitjacket.

Can Kenny escape his personal straitjackets, both physical and figurative? As he makes an attempt to escape both, Kenny isn't ashamed nor afraid of who he is, and he's willing to share with the viewer all the charming, personal, eccentric, and mysterious details that make him a worthy successor to the Great Houdini.
